Details:
Working as part of the Engineering Department to develop the electrical design for Marine and Industrial diesel generating set control systems and associated equipment. This includes taking on board full design and manufacture contracts ranging from basic key start/push button control panels through to multi bay switch boards and paralleling panels.
Contracts include industrial installations either within purpose built acoustic/thermal enclosures, plant room applications, commercial marine, super yacht and MOD grey ship.
General duties include:
- Work from sales specifications to produce detailed design.
- Work closely with consultants/M&E contractors to ascertain full design constraints/requirements.
- Produce design schematics for customer approval and production build. (AutoCAD)
- Source relevant components and equipment to produce Bill of Materials.
(In conjunction with the Purchasing Department)
- Work closely with the production to ensure correct interface of design.
- Produce detailed test specifications for customer witness test.
- Assisting Test Engineers as required.
- Produce Technical Documentation as part of the O&M Manuals for the equipment.
- UK and Overseas travel.
